This was illustration ten of fourteen for my story about Sorrowflower, an elf character I adopted in Windshaper's Holt, a role-playing group based on ElfQuest by Wendy Pini.

Dressed in armor with a fellow soldier waiting, Sorrowflower gives her son Traveler one last embrace before handing him to a caregiver while Sorrowflower goes to battle.
