Left: Humor can be derived from being too literal. Someone told me that a particular blanket "kicks ass" and I envisioned a blanket kicking a person in the buttocks.

Right: Socks disappearing in the laundry is such a stereotype that the washing machine or dryer are often said to eat socks. I thought a laundry hamper might similarly be accused, and look cuter.
