This was my fault, really; I set him up to fail.

I had nachos with an extra cup of queso and sloppily left the empty cheese cup unattended on the coffee table for a bit as I cleaned the rest. I returned to find my dog holding the cup in his mouth, his nose buried in the cup. He was impressively good about releasing the cup when I took it from him.

Now I know that he will take food from the coffee table, if given the chance.
